Gebuwin Winches - Gebuwin Electric Worm Gear Winch - EW990Kg - 230v or 440v

A range of electric worm gear winches in combination with 230 & 400 Volts that Gebuwin offers, start from 125 kg up to 3.200 kg. Electric worm gear winches are used in heavy duty pulling situations. The most common application is the pulling of loads, however upon request, these winches can be delivered as hoisting winches.

  • Compact and robust construction
  • All rotating parts run in maintenance free bearings
  • Only used for pulling loads
  • Note that for electrical winches with a hoisting function a limit switch and a low voltage control is required. (This can be quoted upon request)
  • Standard paint finish in grey (RAL 7035) and black (RAL 9005) according to DIN 12944, C1M
  • Constructed with a worm gear transmission as centre point between the electromotor and cable drum
  • Constructed with a covered and sealed gearing (IP54) and insulation classification B
  • Winches from 1,000 kilo’s and up are standard equipped with an overload protection
  • The connection duration is S3 – 40% – 120 c/h
  • Available in 230 Volts and 400 Volts
  • The pendant control switch has a standard length of 1 meter
  • Maintenance free ball bearings
  • More cable storage than standard 30 meters by steps of 10 meters

Worm Gear Winches - Hoisting

The Gebuwin range of hand driven worm gear winches are known for their robust construction. The hoisting capacities are calculated according to the first cable layer on the cable drum. All of the worm gear winches are equipped with a load pressure brake. This brake holds the load at any required height during hoisting and lowering. The worm gear winches are more safe than the spur gear winches, due to the fact that 50% of the braking is done by the friction loss in the transmission. Subsequently, the load on the pressure brake is greatly reduced. Due to the higher friction loss in the transmission, the worm gear winches have a lower performance efficiency than the spur gear winches. The winches have a static safety factor of minimum 4. The cranks can be adjusted in length and are recoil-free. All rotating parts run in maintenance free bearings. From the 2000 kg capacity winch and up, the winches are fitted with a second drive shaft, which makes it possible to work with two speeds. Most parts are made from steel and have been either painted or zinc plated. The winch with 7500 kg capacity has the worm-worm gear transmission completely protected by a sealed cover.

The coding is as follows: The first two letters refer to the type and the subsequent numbers refer to the hoisting capacity in kg’s. A few letters then follow; these refer to the surface treatment and the type of winch. The explanation for the coding is as follows:

Type coding:
WW = worm gear winches

Version coding:
D = cable drum for 1 cable
2D = cable drum for 2 or more cables
GD = grooved cable drum
GR = grey (RAL 7035) / black (RAL 9005) painted according to DIN 12944-C1
EV = electrolyte zinc plated, min. 6 microns
EX = ATEX 114 certified for zones 2 and 22

Spur Gear Winches - Hoisting

Gebuwin has two ranges of spur gear winches which are used for hoisting loads. All of the spur gear winches are equipped with a load pressure brake. This brake holds the load at any required height during hoisting and lowering. The hoisting capacities are calculated according to the first cable layer on the cable drum. Due to the minimal friction loss in the transmission, the spur gear winches have a high performance efficiency. Most parts are made from steel and have been either painted or zinc plated.

The coding is as follows: The first two letters refer to the type and the subsequent numbers refer to the hoisting capacity in kg’s. A few letters then follow; these refer to the surface treatment and the type of winch. The explanation for the coding is as follows:

Type coding:
HW = economy hand driven winches
TL = spur gear winches

Version coding:
D = cable drum for 1 cable
2D = cable drum for 2 cables
GR = grey (RAL 7035) / black (RAL 9005) painted according to DIN 12944-C1
EV = electrolyte zinc plated, min. 6 microns
SS = stainless steel 14301
EX = ATEX 114 certified for zones 2 and 22 (TC only)
