Gebuwin Winches - Gebuwin WW Type GR/2D Double Drum Worm Gear Hand Winch - 250kg - 1500kg - WG Type

Worm gear winch 250 - 1500 kg with double drum

This Gebuwin worm gear hand winch has a double cable drum and a transmission that consists of a worm shaft and wheel. Due to the fact that this transmission causes friction loss it also provides 50% of the braking system. The load pressure brake provides the other 50%. The combination of the braking system and robust design results in a very safe hoisting and pulling winch. Gebuwin provides special versions of up to six cable drum compartments.

  • Robust construction
  • Primarily used for hoisting, also possible for pulling loads
  • The braking mechanism consists of 50% by the friction in the worm gear transmission and 50% by a load pressure brake
  • Static safety minimum factor 4
  • Adjustable crank and recoil free
  • All rotating parts run in maintenance free bearings
  • The numbers in the product name correspond with the hoisting capacities on the first cable layer. Pulling capacity is approx. 2.5 times the hoisting capacity
  • Cable outlet possible upward, downward and at rear.
  • Standard paint finish in grey (RAL 7035) and black (RAL 9005) according to DIN 12944, C1M

Options

  • GD = Grooved cable drum
  • EV = Zinc plated finish with a minimum of 6 micron
  • EX = ATEX certified, for zones 2 and 22
  • XD = Multiple (X) cable compartments possible

Worm Gear Winches - Hoisting

The Gebuwin range of hand driven worm gear winches are known for their robust construction. The hoisting capacities are calculated according to the first cable layer on the cable drum. All of the worm gear winches are equipped with a load pressure brake. This brake holds the load at any required height during hoisting and lowering. The worm gear winches are more safe than the spur gear winches, due to the fact that 50% of the braking is done by the friction loss in the transmission. Subsequently, the load on the pressure brake is greatly reduced. Due to the higher friction loss in the transmission, the worm gear winches have a lower performance efficiency than the spur gear winches. The winches have a static safety factor of minimum 4. The cranks can be adjusted in length and are recoil-free. All rotating parts run in maintenance free bearings. From the 2000 kg capacity winch and up, the winches are fitted with a second drive shaft, which makes it possible to work with two speeds. Most parts are made from steel and have been either painted or zinc plated. The winch with 7500 kg capacity has the worm-worm gear transmission completely protected by a sealed cover.

The coding is as follows: The first two letters refer to the type and the subsequent numbers refer to the hoisting capacity in kg’s. A few letters then follow; these refer to the surface treatment and the type of winch. The explanation for the coding is as follows:

Type coding:
WW = worm gear winches

Version coding:
D = cable drum for 1 cable
2D = cable drum for 2 or more cables
GD = grooved cable drum
GR = grey (RAL 7035) / black (RAL 9005) painted according to DIN 12944-C1
EV = electrolyte zinc plated, min. 6 microns
EX = ATEX 114 certified for zones 2 and 22

Spur Gear Winches - Hoisting

Gebuwin has two ranges of spur gear winches which are used for hoisting loads. All of the spur gear winches are equipped with a load pressure brake. This brake holds the load at any required height during hoisting and lowering. The hoisting capacities are calculated according to the first cable layer on the cable drum. Due to the minimal friction loss in the transmission, the spur gear winches have a high performance efficiency. Most parts are made from steel and have been either painted or zinc plated.

The coding is as follows: The first two letters refer to the type and the subsequent numbers refer to the hoisting capacity in kg’s. A few letters then follow; these refer to the surface treatment and the type of winch. The explanation for the coding is as follows:

Type coding:
HW = economy hand driven winches
TL = spur gear winches

Version coding:
D = cable drum for 1 cable
2D = cable drum for 2 cables
GR = grey (RAL 7035) / black (RAL 9005) painted according to DIN 12944-C1
EV = electrolyte zinc plated, min. 6 microns
SS = stainless steel 14301
EX = ATEX 114 certified for zones 2 and 22 (TC only)
